Mei Chen

Head of Luxury and Fashion Alibaba

Mei joined Alibaba Group in 2015 as a key member of the Globalisation team, leading the company’s expansion into international markets. She is the co-founder of Alibaba's luxury ecommerce platform, leading the investments and partnerships with top luxury and fashion houses and conglomerates.

With vast knowledge of digital, technology, and retail industries from her previous work at Google and General Electric, Mei supports brands in leveraging Alibaba's technologies, innovations and beyond. Outside work, she advises and supports SMEs and serves on the board of directors of various companies; and she is a guest lecturer at Universities (LBS, INSEAD, Harvard, etc.).

Mei holds a Bachelor's degree in Business Management and Finance from Carlos III University of Madrid and is an alumnus of Harvard Business School and HEC Pari
